4 Links Hot Italian Sausage

3/4 lb. Ground Beef

1 Can Tomato Sauce

4-5 Spoonfuls Tomato Paste

1 Lg. Tomato, Diced

1 Onion

4-5 Cloves Garlic

1 1/2 tsp Thyme

1/4 tsp Fennel

1/4 tsp Majoram

1/4 tsp Rosemary

1/8 tsp Carraway Seed

1/4 tsp Basil

1/4 tsp Oregano

2 Bay Leaves

Salt & Pepper to taste

Sprinkle of Cinnamon


Peel casings off sausage and cook on stove. Brown and drain hamburger meat along with onion and garlic. Combine and add tomato sauce, paste, and diced tomato. Stir together and add spices. Mix well and let simmer until flavor is thoroughly mixed. Add more or less to taste.

My Take

I’m not Italian, but from basing this half off another recipe and throwing in some of my own flavor, I created what I think is a very tasty spaghetti sauce. I’m a big fan of a nice, meaty sauce, so the sausage and beef give it that.
